Domain reports

Introduction

Domain reports provide publishers with insight into their non-monetized inventory to better optimize traffic and improve performance. This report offers overall passback impressions, paid impressions and revenue data for a publisher's sites and ad tags in PubMatic. 

Report dimensions:

  • Site ID (download only)
  • Site
  • Ad Tag ID (download only)
  • Ad Tag
  • Domain (the allowlisted domains where the the ad request was sent)
  • Date
  • Passback Reason (reasons the impression was not monetized with PubMatic, see table below)

  • Campaign
  • Total Requests (total requests received by PubMatic)
  • Overall Passback Impressions (non-monetized impression count)
  • Paid Impressions (monetized impression count)
  • Revenue (publisher revenue)

Passback reasons

The following may appear as a passback reason in the report. Passback reasons are listed in the download file.

For header bidding impressions: PubMatic submitted a bid (this does not necessarily mean PubMatic won the bid).

Spider/bot traffic with invalid web browsers4Impression was passed back as the request was not sent via a valid browser.
Spider/bot traffic with valid web browsers5

Traffic originating from cloud services such as Amazon servers, Windows Azure Cloud or Google Cloud tend to be generated by automated programs trying to mine the web or scan content rather than humans browsing web content.
