Roles define access. For information on default access for each role, see Role Definitions

Administering Roles

As an administrator, you can assign roles in conjunction with users' access privileges and membership in teams. The Role Name list displays the set of roles that are available, with the Teams and their status. You can add new roles if required.


For more information about the various Roles and their privileges, see Role Definitions below.

Add New Role

  1. Click Add New Role.
  2. Enter a Role Name and Description.
  3. Select Permissions for the Features and Groups:
  • None (default)
  • Read
  • Read & Write
  1. Click Add Role.

Permission Features and Groups

When adding or editing a Role, select Read or Read & Write for each permission within a group that you want to apply to the role to designate the permission level each role will have. When a permission level is selected, the the checkbox to the right will also be selected to indicate that it will be included in this role.

  • Feature Management Group
  • Role Management Group
  • User Management Group
  • Team Management Group
  • Account Management Group
  • Unified AdServer Feature Group

Default Role Definitions

Unified AdServer Admin

Users with this role have the maximum permissions.

Team Management

Users with this role have the ability to:

  • Create, edit, and delete team(s)
  • Assign roles to a team
  • Assign users to a team
  • Assign roles to users in a team

User Management

Users with this role have the ability to:

  • Create, edit, and delete users
  • Assign roles to users
  • Assign teams to users

Role Management

Users with this role have the ability to:

  • Create, edit and delete custom roles

Feature Management

Users with this role have the ability to:

  • Create, edit, update and delete features.

Network Admin

Users with this role have all permissions enabled.

Inventory Admin

User with this role have the ability to:

  • Create, edit, and delete Ad Units
  • Create, edit, and delete Ad Units Groups
  • Create, edit, and delete Labels

And also have access to view (read):

  • Network Advertisers
  • Network Agencies
  • Network Orders
  • Network Line Items
  • Creatives
  • Custom Key (values)
  • Network Account settings

Order Admin

Users with this role have the ability to:

  • Assign roles to users
  • Create, edit ,and delete network advertisers
  • Create, edit, and delete network agencies
  • Create, edit, and delete network orders
  • Create, edit, and delete network line items
  • Create, edit, and delete creatives
  • Create, edit, and delete custom key (values)

And also have access to view (read):

  • Network roles
  • Network groups
  • Network team
  • Roles assigned to teams
  • Users assigned to teams
  • Roles of users assigned to teams
  • Network ad units
  • Network ad unit groups
  • Network account settings

Salesperson

Users with this role have the ability to:

  • Create, edit, and delete advertisers
  • Create, edit, and delete Agency’s
  • Create, edit, and delete Orders

And also have access to view (read):

  • Network Team’s
  • Ad Units
  • Ad Unit Groups
  • Line items
  • Creatives
  • Labels
  • Custom Key (values)
  • Network Account settings

Ad Ops

User with this role have the ability to:

  • Create, Edit and Delete orders
  • Create, Edit and Delete line items
  • Create, Edit and Delete creatives
  • Create, Edit and Delete Labels
  • Create, Edit and Delete Custom Key (values)

And also have access to view (read):

  • Network Roles
  • Network Users
  • Roles assigned to users
  • Teams assigned to users
  • Network Teams
  • Roles assigned to teams
  • Users assigned to teams
  • Roles of users assigned to teams
  • Ad Units
  • Ad Unit groups
  • Advertisers
  • Agency’s
  • Network Account settings

Forecaster Reporting

 

Users with this role have the ability to:

  • Create, edit and delete forecasting reports

And have access to view (read):

  • Ad Units
  • Ad Unit Groups
