Introduction

Select from pre-populated alerts or create your own that will notify you when certain performance thresholds are reached. Alerts can appear in the PubMatic platform and/or be sent via email. For example, an alert can be triggered when there is a specific percentage drop in revenue or eCPM or there is a change in top 10 advertisers, DSPs, or buyers.

Viewing Alerts

Select from pre-populated alerts that will notify you when certain performance thresholds are reached. Alerts can appear in the PubMatic platform and/or be sent via email. For example, an alert can be triggered when there is a specific percentage drop in revenue or eCPM or there is a change in top 10 advertisers, DSPs or buyers. Alerts appear on the PubMatic Dashboard.

 

In addition to alerts on the Dashboard, view alerts by selecting Analytics | Alerts from the main navigation.

  • Select the View Alerts tab to view system-provided alerts.
  • Select Manage Alerts tab to view customized alerts and system alerts, edit alerts and create new alerts.


  • Click the arrow to the left of an alert to view its details.
  • To filter the list of alerts, specify the appropriate information in the relevant fields as described in the table below:
    FieldDescription
    SearchType the name or description of the alert that you want to view
    ViewSelect the type of alerts you want to view (Show All, Issues, or Opportunities).

    The page displays the following details:
    ColumnsDescription
    Alert MessageDisplays the details of the alert. Click an alert to expand and view its details.
    Data & Time

    Displays the date and time at which the alert was generated from the system.

     is prefixed to an alert to indicate it is an opportunity.

     is prefixed to an alert to indicated it is an issue.

    DeleteClick the  icon to delete the corresponding alert from the system.

Managing Alerts

Configure alert settings or create new alerts from the Manage Alerts tab.

  1. Select Analytics | Alerts from the main navigation. 
  2. Click the Manage Alerts tab.
  3. Click the  button below the Alert On/Off heading to enable the generation of alerts for your account. Once enabled, the  button is displayed.
  4. Similarly, click the  button below the Email On/Off heading to enable the sending of alerts over e-mail for your account. Once enabled, the  button is displayed.
  5. In the Remove alerts after field, select the time interval after which the alerts generated for your account should be deleted from the system. Possible options are 30, 60 and 90 days.

Alert Name & DescriptionDisplays the name and description of the alerts available for your account.
Alert On/OffClick the button to either enable or disable the given alert. Clicking the button below the Alert On/Off heading either enables the alert settings or disables all the alerts.
Email On/OffClick the button either  enable or disable the sending of alerts via email. Clicking the button below the Email On/Off heading either enables the email settings or disables the sending of emails for all alerts.
FrequencySelect the frequency at which the alert emails should be sent to the configured users (e.g., Daily, Weekly and Monthly).
RecipientsClick the drop-down list to search and select the names of your peer users to whom the alert emails should be sent.

Creating & Deleting Alerts

You can customize alerts to fit your needs. Alerts can display in the PubMatic platform (in Alerts & on the Dashboard) as well as email recipients when an alert is generated.

To Create a Custom Alert from the Analytics interface:

  1. Select Analytics | Alerts from the main navigation.
  2. Select the Manage Alerts tab.
  3. Click Create an Alert.
  4. Complete the Alert fields, adding Filters and Rules as needed and click Save.

 

To Create a Custom Alert from the Dashboard:

  • Click Create an Alert in the Alerts section of the Dashboard.

 

To Delete a Custom Alert:

  1. Select Analytics | Alerts from the main navigation.
  2. Select the Manage Alerts tab.
  3. Click the "X" to the right of the alert you would like to delete.
