Note: This document supports a set of APIs for older integrations.

Publishers can have controls available at specific site level or across all sites, so that they can block advertisers who are either competitors or advertisers who are being directly sold by the publisher’s own sales force.
Publishers can have following lists for blocking:
URL List:
This contains list of Landing Page Domain to be filtered from bidding. (Example: att.com, and so on.)
Creative Attributes List:
This contains list of Creative Attributes to be controlled (Example: Expandable Ads, ..)
Creative Categories List:
This contains list of Creative Categories to be controlled (Example: Political, …)

Publisher Block List Rules

  1. List maybe fetched for the site context if it’s available.
  2. List maybe fetched for the Publisher context if it’s not available at site level.
  3. Only Numeric IDs shall be sent for the creative_attributes and creative_categories lists.
  4. URL list shall be sent as strings enclosed in quotes.
  5. All lists shall contain only top N items (Example: 20).
  6. Demand Partners can specify to receive only the specific block lists out of {creative_attributes, creative_categories, urls}.
  7. If the complete lists are needed, Demand Partners should use the Creative Control data sharing API via open RTB. More information on PubMatic’s openRTB capabilities can be found in this document.
