Managing Accounts and Users in Media Buyer Console (MBC)

The Accounts interface of the Media Buyer Console (MBC) enables the management of demand partner accounts and includes two tabs:

  • Accounts, which allows you to manage the demand partner accounts associated with your account.
  • PubMatic Users, which allows you to manage the PubMatic Account Manager users.

    PubMatic Users functionality only available to PubMatic Admins.

Accounts

To access accounts, log in to the Media Buyer Console (MBC) and click Accounts in the main navigation.

Viewing the List of Demand Partner Accounts

When Accounts is selected from the main navigation, a list of demand partners associated with your accounts are listed with the following information:

  • Account Name: Name of the demand partner's account. Click the account name to view/modify that account's settings.
  • User Email: Email address of the user operating the demand partner's account.
  • Billing Policy: Billing policy for the demand partner's account.
  • Account Tier: Tier level of the demand partner's account.
  • Active Campaigns: Number of currently active campaigns associated with the demand partner's account.
  • Actions: Click Edit to modify the account settings or click Login as Demand Partner to view the account as the demand partner. Once clicked, you will be prompted to select a specific user on the account to log in as.

Adding a New Demand Partner Account

  1. Log in to Media Buyer Console and select Accounts from the main navigation.
  2. Click the Add Account button and complete the following information and click Save.

New Account Details

FieldDescription
Account NameSpecify the name of the demand partner.
User EmailSpecify the e-mail address of the user operating the demand partner's account.
PasswordSpecify the password for the demand partner's account.
Confirm PasswordRe-type the password for the demand partner's account.
User First NameSpecify the first name of the user operating the demand partner's account.
User Last NameSpecify the last name of the user operating the demand partner's account.
Is COPPA CompliantSelect whether the given demand partner complies with the COPPA standards or not.
The United States Federal Trade Commission has changed the compliance rules for the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”), effective July 1, 2013. The proposal effects websites and applications that have been identified as: (1) directed to users under 13 years of age; or (2) collecting information from users actually known to be under 13 (collectively “Children’s Sites”).
For an impression meeting any one of the above-mentioned criteria, this field needs to be set to Yes; otherwise it needs to be set to No.
The FTC has written a comprehensive FAQ on complying with COPPA at http://business.ftc.gov/documents/Complying-with-COPPA-Frequently-Asked-Questions.

 

Business Information

FieldDescription
Business Contact NameSpecify the name of the business user associated with the demand partner to be contacted for any issues.
Business PhoneSpecify the phone number of the business user.
Business EmailSpecify the e-mail address of the business user.
Business AddressSpecify the mailing address of the business user.
CitySpecify the name of the city associated with the mailing address of the business user.
State/Province/RegionSpecify the name of the state, province or region associated with the mailing address of the business user.
CountrySelect the country associated with the mailing address of the business user.

 

Billing Information

FieldDescription
Same as Business InfoSelect the check box to copy the details automatically of the Business Info section into the Billing Info section.
Billing Contact NameSpecify the name of the user associated with the demand partner to be contacted for billing.
Billing PhoneSpecify the phone number of the billing-related user.
Billing EmailSpecify the e-mail address of the billing-related user.
Billing AddressSpecify the mailing address of the billing-related user.
CitySpecify the name of the city associated with the mailing address of the billing-related user.
State/Province/RegionSpecify the name of the state, province or region associated with the mailing address of the billing-related user.
CountrySelect the country associated with the mailing address of the billing-related user.
Account LogoBrowse and upload the logo of the demand partner which will be seen in its account.
Note: The size of this logo should be 160 x 30 pixels.
Account TierSpecify the tier level to be associated with the demand partner.
Publisher AccessSpecify the level of access to the publisher to be associated with the demand partner from the drop-down list. You can select multiple access levels in this drop-down list. To complete the selection, select the required access levels and click outside the drop-down list.
ExclusionSelect the permission levels from which the demand partner should be excluded. You can select multiple permission levels in this drop-down list. To complete the selection, select the required permission levels and click outside the drop-down list.
Payment TermsSelect the time interval at which the demand partner will be billed.
Payment TypeSelect the payment method by which the demand partner will be billed.
Account ManagerSelect the PubMatic Account Manager assigned for this demand partner.
Billing PolicySelect the billing policy to be used for this demand partner.

 

Email Alerts

FieldDescription
EmailsSpecify the e-mail address to which the PubMatic Media Console should send alerts for this demand partner's account.
Select the notifications for which an e-mail should be sent to this e-mail address in the drop-down list next to this field.
  • You can search for a specific notification using the Filter text box in the drop-down list.
  • You can also select multiple notifications.
  • To select all the available notifications, click the Check all link.
  • To deselect all the selected notifications, click the Uncheck all link.
  • To complete the selection, select the required items and click outside the drop-down list.

 

Searching for a Demand Partner Account

If there are multiple demand partner accounts associated with your account, it may be time-consuming to locate a specific account by browsing. Use the search for quicker access. 

  1. Log in to Media Buyer Console and select Accounts from the main navigation.
  2. Enter the name of the demand partner in the search field under the Manage Accounts header and click Search.

Modifying a Demand Partner Account

  1. Log in to Media Buyer Console and select Accounts from the main navigation
  2. Locate the demand partner account you want to modify and click the name of the account in the list or click Edit in the Actions column. 
  3. Edit fields as needed and click Save.

Logging in as a Demand Partner

  1. Log in to Media Buyer Console and select Accounts from the main navigation.
  2. Locate the demand partner account in the list through browse or search and click the Login as Demand Partner link in the Actions column.
  3. Select a user to log in as, if prompted.

Disabling a Demand Partner Account

If you want to temporarily disable a demand partner account, perform the following steps.

  1. Log in to Media Buyer Console and select Accounts from the main navigation.
  2. Locate the demand partner account in the list through browse or search and select the check box to the left of the account name.
    Note: You can select the check boxes for multiple accounts to disable them simultaneously.
  3. Click the Disable  button. 

PubMatic Users

Manage PubMatic Account Manager Users with the following instructions.

Viewing the List of PubMatic Users

  1. Log in to MBC and select Accounts from the main navigation.
  2. Click the PubMatic Users tab. The following fields display:
  • Name: Name of the PubMatic user. Clicking a user's name in this column allows you to modify that user's settings.
  • User Email: Email address of the PubMatic user.
  • Type: Administrator type associated with the PubMatic user.
  • Accounts Assigned: Names of the demand partner accounts associated with the PubMatic user.
  • Actions: Click Edit to modify the user's settings.

Adding a New PubMatic User

  1. Log in to MBC and select Accounts from the main navigation.
  2. Click the PubMatic Users tab. 
  3. Click the Add User button, specify the following information and click Sa

    Field

    Description

    First Name

    Type the first name of the PubMatic Account Manager.

    Last Name

    Type the last name of the PubMatic Account Manager.

    User Email

    Type the e-mail address of the PubMatic Account Manager.

    Password

    Type the password for the PubMatic Account Manager's login.

    Accounts Assigned

    Select the demand partner accounts which you want to associate with the new PubMatic Account Manager. The selected accounts are displayed in the right list box.

    • You can search for a specific account by typing its name in the text box and clicking the Go button.

    • To clear the text typed in the search text box, click the Clear button.

    • To remove an account from the selection, deselect the check box corresponding to that account from either the left or the right list box.

    • To remove all the selected accounts, click the Remove All button.

    Contact Number

    Type the phone number of the PubMatic Account Manager.

    Email Notifications

    Specify whether the user should receive e-mail notifications for the actions performed using its account, such as campaign creation, campaign modification, and so on.

    • On - Click this button if the user should receive e-mail notifications. Selecting this button displays a drop-down list below it, which indicates the actions for which the user will be notified. Expand this list to view the complete list of actions for which an e-mail can be sent by the system. Select the check boxes for the actions for which you want the user to be notified.

      • You can search for a specific action using the Filter text box in the drop-down list.

      • You can also select multiple actions.

      • To select all the available actions, click the Check all link.

      • To deselect all the selected actions, click the Uncheck all link.

      • To complete the selection, select the required items and click outside the drop-down list.

    • Off - Click this button if you do not want the user to receive any e-mail notification.

    Avatar

    Specify the path of the avatar image or photograph file for the PubMatic Account Manager.

    Note: The maximum size of the file that you can upload in this field is 10 KB.

          

Searching for a PubMatic User

If there are multiple users listed, it may be time-consuming to locate a specific account by browsing. Use the search for quicker access. 

  1. Log in to Media Buyer Console and select Accounts from the main navigation. 
  2. Click the PubMatic Users tab. 
  3. Enter the name or email address of the user in the search field under the and click Search.

Modifying a PubMatic User

  1. Log in to Media Buyer Console and select Accounts from the main navigation. 
  2. Click the PubMatic Users tab. 
  3. Locate the user you want to modify and click Edit in the Actions column. 
  4. Edit fields as needed and click Save.

Disabling a PubMatic User

If a PubMatic user has left the organization, perform the following steps to disable that user's account.

  1. Log in to Media Buyer Console and select Accounts from the main navigation.
  2. Click the PubMatic Users tab.
  3. Locate the user account and select the check box to the left of the account name. 
    Note: You can select the check boxes for multiple accounts to disable them simultaneously.
  4. Click the Disable  button.
